The new school will take on the old school at NXT War Games.
On the November 23 episode of NXT 2.0, Carmelo Hayes defended his North American Championship against Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunne in a Triple Threat Match. The bout came to an end when Tony D'Angelo came to ringside and attacked Dunne, allowing Hayes to score the pin on Gargano. Earlier in the night, D'Angelo said he was taking bets on the match and expected Carmelo to retain his title.
After the bell, Grayson Waller and LA Knight, who had been brawling all night, started fighting out towards the ring. Dunne and D'Angelo got involved in that skirmish as well. Then, as Trick Williams and Carmelo were set to injure Johnny's hand, the same way they did to Dexter Lumis last week, Tommaso Ciampa came out and saved his old DIY partner.
With Trick Williams laid out on the ramp thanks to a Ciampa chair shot, Bron Breakker came out to even the odds, standing alongside Carmelo Hayes, Tony D'Angelo, and Grayson Waller and screaming WarGames! On December 5, those four men are set to face Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, LA Knight, and Pete Dunne.
