MJF Begs Tony Khan To Fire Him, Addresses Issues With AEW On 6/1 Dynamite

MJF has spoken!

MJF was in the headlines through Double or Nothing weekend as he missed the fan fest on Saturday and booked a flight out of Las Vegas on Saturday night, but didn't get on the plane, opting to show up to AEW Double or Nothing. He claimed to Fightful that he showed up just before his match, which opened the pay-per-view, and left right after.

On June 1, MJF came to the ring and said that he is in a lot of pain after what happened at Double or Nothing. He then threatened Tony Khan saying he wouldn't want to embarrass him with lots of important executives in attendance to watch the show. He said that there is nothing he can't do and has created numerous moments for the company. MJF added that he has to be perfect because he is the only one capable of carrying the company on his back. Furthermore, if the boys in the back want his spot, they can have it because he doesn't want to be here anymore. MJF says he is the second biggest minute for minute draw in the company but Tony won't pay him because he's too busy bringing in ex-WWE Superstars who can't lace his boots. MJF said he wants Tony Khan to fire him, then swore before the show cut to commercial.

Fightful Select reported on May 30 that MJF and Tony Khan planned to meet following Double or Nothing.

Fightful Select has plenty of details on MJF's standing with AEW and Tony Khan along with backstage reactions. When asked about MJF and what happened over the weekend at the media scrum, Tony Khan offered no comment.
