Nia Jax And Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley And Naomi On WWE SmackDown Now A Tornado Tag Team Match

As previously announced, Bayley and Naomi will face WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton on the September 20th episode of WWE SmackDown. If Bayley and Naomi win, the competitor who scores the victory would earn a shot at Jax's title at WWE Bad Blood. However, if they lose, the losing competitor will be forced to leave SmackDown.

In a post on Twitter/X, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis said the stipulation was a little unfair, as it was possible that Naomi and Bayley could refuse to tag each other in. With that in mind, he announced that the bout was now a Tornado Tag Team Match.

Here is the current lineup for WWE SmackDown:

WWE SmackDown (9/20)

  • Tornado Tag Team Match: Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley & Naomi (If Bayley & Naomi win, the person who scores the fall faces Nia Jax at WWE Bad Blood. If Bayley & Naomi lose, the person who loses the fall must leave WWE SmackDown)
  • WWE United States Championship: LA Knights (c) vs. Andrade
  • Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns seek common ground against The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, & Tonga Loa)
  • Giovanni Vinci vs. Apollo Crews
