Cassidy shocked fans on the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, as he defeated Rey Fenix to regain the AEW International Championship. Cassidy defeated Fenix after pinning him with a crucifix manuever.

Cassidy's win brings Fenix's reign with the International Championship to an end at 21 days. Fenix won the title from Jon Moxley at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. Furthermore, Moxley's reign with the title started at the AEW All Out pay-per-view in September, where he defeated Orange Cassidy.
Orange Cassidy is now the first ever two time AEW International Champion.
