Timothy Thatcher and Aja Perera are reportedly headed to WWE.
Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens first reported that Perera had signed with WWE. Perera had previously wrestled for SHINE, EVOLVE, CHIKARA, and other Independent promotions. She is a former SHINE Tag Team Champion, holding the titles alongside current AEW talent Big Swole.
Michael also noted that Timothy Thatcher was at the WWE Performance Center on Monday along with other new recruits, saying Thatcher had "allegedly" signed.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider confirmed Thatcher has signed with the promotion. Johnson went on to report that Thatcher previously turned down overtures from the company, but William Regal and Canyon Ceman both had Thatcher "on their radar" in recent years.
Thatcher is a longtime veteran on the Independent scene, having worked for EVOLVE, MLW, PROGRESS, wXw and more. He is a former wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion, wXw World Tag Team Champion alongside current NXT UK Champion WALTER, and EVOLVE Champion.
WWE has not confirmed the signing of either competitor. New recruits to the WWE Performance Center should be announced in the coming weeks.
