WWE has reportedly made a change to the Raw announce team with Tom Phillips replacing Vic Joseph as the play-by-play announcer.
WrestleVotes first reported the news, which was later confirmed by PWInsider and Wrestling Observer.
Phillips handled the Raw announce duties at WWE Royal Rumble alongside Jerry Lawler. Joseph is reportedly still with the company, though his role moving forward is unclear. Phillips previously did commentary for WWE SmackDown before the program moved to Fox. He was then moved to the NXT UK announce team. It is unclear if he will remain part of the NXT UK announce team.
Phillips also handled commentary duties at WWE Worlds Collide as Mauro Ranallo was working a Showtime Boxing event.
This marks the second shake-up on the Raw announce team since the season premiere in September. Dio Maddin, who originally worked alongside Joseph and Lawler, was removed just over a month into his new role. He was replaced by Samoa Joe while he was sidelined with an injury. Joe is back in the ring, leaving Phillips and Lawler as the current announcers on WWE Raw.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE Raw beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
