Report: WWE Blu-Rays Being Taken Out Of Print

A new report paints a bleak picture when it comes to WWE and Blu Ray distribution.

Wrestling DVD Network is reporting that Warner Bros., who distributes WWE's DVD and Blu-Ray releases, has reportedly taken the vast majority, possibly all, of WWE's Blu-Ray titles out of print. That means that there will no longer be any new copies produced, and whatever is left are on retail shelves now.

It is said that recent cancellations of WWE Blu-Ray releases (such as this year's Royal Rumble) have been shelved due to underperforming sales and lack of retail support for the format, as well as costs for the distribution of the releases. There is no confirmation that WWE will totally cease production of Blu-Ray releases at this time, however.

There is no current word on what this means for WrestleMania 34, as WWE has released every WrestleMania for the last ten years. FremantleMedia, who handles releases in the United Kingdom, will continue to produce titles including WrestleMania 34.
