Report: WWE Signs Jinny Of Progress Wrestling To UK Contract

Jinny may be coming to some WWE programming.

Wrestling Observer has reported WWE signed another independent wresting talent to a United Kingdom contract. WWE has been signing talents like Toni Storm and Pete Dunne to contracts which allows them to still compete at certain independent promotions but also appear on WWE United Kingdom events. WWE has reportedly signed Jinny to a similar contract.

NJPW Ranbo Announced For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom, KOPW Title Officially Retired

Jinny is the current Progress Wrestling Women's Champion at the same promotion Dunne and Storm have competed. Progress Wrestling roster members also wrestled at WrestleMania 34 Axxess.

WWE has been expanding into the United Kingdom wrestling circuit since introducing the WWE United Kingdom Championship in 2017. Triple H recently explained the term "global localization" which means WWE wants to set up NXT style brands in different parts of the world. In June, WWE is holding the second United Kingdom tournament which ends at a two night event in London.

Like Storm, Jinny is also a potential competitor for the Mae Young Classic which should be filmed later this year.

Fightful Wrestling will continue to provide update as WWE signs more independent talent.
