Lyra Valkyria wants a shot at Rhea Ripley.
In a WWE Digital Exclusive following the July 24 episode of WWE Raw, NXT star Lya Valkyria interrupted an interview with WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley. She said she didn't want to prove herself to Ripley by fighting Jacy Jayne. Instead, she wanted to show Ripley what she could do by facing her. Valkyria then challenged Ripley to a match on the July 25 episode of WWE NXT. Ripley accepted the challenge. WWE then confirmed the match.

Ripley and her Judgment Day stablemates have appeared on NXT multiple times in recent weeks. On the July 18 episode, Ripley told Valkyria to get back at Jayne.On the July 4 episode, Jayne attacked Valkyria after their match.
