Ricochet surprised all of the fans in attendance, in addition to Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita, when he appeared at the end of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Forged In Excellence's second night of action in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Shortly after Konosuke Takeshita defeated TNA Wrestling star Josh Alexander in the main event of Maple Leaf Pro Forged In Excellence on Sunday, October 20, 2024, Don Callis continuously invoked the names of Will Ospreay and Ricochet, the two men that Takeshita defeated for the AEW International Title at AEW WrestleDream.
Then, as Callis and Takeshita continued assaulting Alexander, Ricochet made his surprise debut in MLP, running down to save Alexander and send Callis and Takeshita packing so quickly that Takeshita forgot his championship belt in the ring.

Ricochet held the championship belt up high after shaking hands with Alexander to bring the weekend of events to a close.
