Tribal Combat is set for WWE SummerSlam 2023.
Jey Uso laid down the challenge to Roman Reigns for a final match between them for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. This challenge came on the heels of Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa taking out Jimmy Uso on the July 7 episode of SmackDown after Tribal Court was abruptly adjourned.
Roman Reigns and Jey Uso set the Rules of Engagement for their upcoming match on the July 21 episode of WWE SmackDown. Uso tore up the contract that was written for the match and revealed that the Elders of the tribe suggested that this match take place under Tribal Combat, essentially another synonym for a No Disqualification Match.
Both men agreed to the stipulation. Roman Reigns symbolically placed the lei representative of his status as Tribal Chief on to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship belt, signifying that there is more than just the title at stake.

Jey Uso became the first person to pin Roman Reigns in nearly four years at WWE Money in the Bank. Now, the cousins look to end this saga once and for all, just as it started with the two of them clashing for the Undisputed Championship at WWE Clash of Champions 2020.
