Sami Zayn is back.
Sami Zayn returns to action as the #30 entrant in the Royal Rumble. He was injured on TV by Drew McIntyre on the December 4 episode of Monday Night Raw. Zayn did work the WWE Holiday Tour in late December, however.

Sami Zayn had not been seen since the December 4 episode of WWE Raw. On that episode, he was attacked by Drew McIntyre and it was stated that he had suffered a meniscus injury.
Zayn did work the WWE Holiday Tour in December 2023 but remained off of TV. During the WWE Raw on January 1, WWE announced that Sami Zayn required 15 staples after his match at the WWE Live Holiday tour event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on December 29.
