Samoa Joe: I'm Not Going To Whine And Complain On Social Media, I'm Going To Whoop Somebody's Ass

Samoa Joe knows his time will come.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Joe discussed not being seen as "the guy" and proving people wrong his entire career.

"I've always needed to convince more than the average person. A lot of cats come in and people hook their hopes and dreams on them and say, 'This is the guy.' I've never had that luxury. It's not something I hold in spite. This is my life," said Joe. "It took me a long time to get WWE, to slide a ridiculous stereotype. When I did get in, I was told  I wouldn't do anything, that I was destined to stay in a certain spot. Within two days, I proved that wrong."

Joe continued, "I have no doubt in my mind that I'll be a WWE Champion. I just know that I'm still fighting these same battles. I'll convince you. I've done it my entire career. I'm not worried about me or what I bring to the table. I'll keep being consistent. I'll keep spitting the fire that people want to hear. I'm not a guy that's gonna be on social media and whine and complain. I'm gonna go out there, slap people in the mouth, and get a chance. Every time I walk to that ring, I'm there to start a fight. When you see me on TV, I'm there for a reason and that's to whoop somebody's ass."

Samoa Joe has multiple opportunities to win the WWE Title in 2018 but came up short in a series of matches against AJ Styles. Joe will have another opportunity to become WWE Champion this Sunday when he competes inside the Elimination Chamber
