Santos Escobar is riding high.
Escobar has become a staple on WWE television, aligning with Rey Mysterio to re-form the LWO alongside Rey, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, & Zelina Vega. Escobar has won the NXT North American Championship, but has yet to hold gold on the main roster.
Speaking to Phil Strum on Under The Ring, Escobar said he believes he's ready for the big gold.
"I just saw Triple H announce a new championship. I feel ready for that. That's how high my note is right now," said Escobar.
Triple H announced the WWE World Heavyweight Title on the April 24 episode of WWE Raw. The first champion will be crowned at WWE Night of Champions.
Escobar, along with the rest of the LWO, were drafted to WWE SmackDown during night two of the WWE Draft. The World Heavyweight Title is part of Raw as Roman Reigns, the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, is taking those titles with him to SmackDown.
