Shota Umino went there.
Jack Perry made his NJPW debut at NJPW Battle in the Valley, where he attacked Shota Umino. They have been feuding ever since, and they clashed multiple times throughout the New Japan Cup. On the final night of the tour, HOUSE OF TORTURE (Yujiro Takahashi, Jack Perry, and Ren Narita) defeated El Desperado, Yuji Nagata, and Shota Umino.
In his post-match comments, Shota Umino sent a message to Perry. He followed that up with a post on Twitter/X in which he called Perry out and said that it was "clobberin' time", a clear reference to CM Punk. He also made it clear that he wanted to face Perry in Ryogoku.

彼が、他のユニットは介入されたら戦ってる選手にセコンドが手を出して助けてくれるけど、俺らはいつも己を貫いてるから自信を持て。だとさ。
あと、ジャックベリー。

Perry and CM Punk were involved in a backstage incident at AEW All In that led to Punk's termination and Perry's suspension from the company. Perry has yet to return to the company.
Perry recently sent a message to Umino by saying that Shota was lucky to be a part of his world. Check out his comments here.
