A new match was announced for CMLL Homenaje A Dos Leyendas.
CMLL hosted Phases One & Two of the Parejas Increíbles Tag Team Tournament, with both faces having two first-round matches and a phase final per block. The phases took place on the 3/15 and the 3/22 editions of CMLL's Viernes Espectacular events, and we now have the tournament finals set for the 3/29 edition of CMLL Homenaje A Dos Leyendas.
On 3/15, Mascara Dorada & Rocky Romero participated in Phase One of the tournament, where they managed to go past the team of Akuma & Dulce Gardenia in the first round. In the finals of Phase One, Dorada & Romero managed to defeat Flip Gordon & Angel De Oro to win the phase and advance into the finals.
A week later, on 3/22, Soberano Jr & Atlantis Jr joined forces for the first time since teaming in the 2023 edition of the NJPW World Tag League as a part of Phase Two of CMLL's Parejas Increíbles Tag Team Tournament. In this phase, they outlasted the team of Virus & Disturbio in the first round before beating Hechicero & Stuka Jr in the finals.
With these wins, the final of the 2024 Parejas Increíbles Tag Team Tournament was set as Rocky Romero & Mascara Dorada will team again to face Atlantis Jr & Soberano Jr on CMLL Homenaje a Dos Leyendas. On that same show, The Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli) are set to make their 8-man tag debut for CMLL as they will face Místico, Volador Jr, Blue Panther & Último Guerrero.
