Nakamura has been given free-range to use the "low-blow".
"The King Of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura has become a different individual since falling short to AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34 when the WWE Championship was on the line. Following their match at the "Show Of Shows" Nakamura delivered a fatal low-blow to the "Phenomenal One".
This happening would lead to Nakamura delivering a series of "low-blows" to AJ Styles over the coming weeks and in their WWE Championship rematch at the 'Greatest Royal Rumble' event, Nakamura attempted to take Styles' title by way of a "low-blow". The two men's second meeting in WWE resulted in a double count-out as they took the fight to one another on the outside.
To open tonight's edition of SmackDown Live, the general manager Paige announced a change to AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE Championship bout at 'Backlash' on May 6th. The match has now been converted into a no-disqualification match so the two men now have free range to take the fight to one another with no limit attached.
Fightful does have live on-going coverage of tonight's episode of SmackDown Live. Also, there will be a post-show podcast where our very own Sean Ross Sapp will be reviewing the action that transpires during the show.
