Swerve Strickland Announces He's Cleared, Turns Down MVP's Business Offer At AEW WrestleDream

Swerve Strickland made his return at AEW WrestleDream.

Prince Nana brought out Swerve, who said that it felt weird not having the AEW World Title. He said that he's been sidelined since AEW All Out, but that he is now medically cleared.

Out came MVP with Shelton Benjamin. MVP said that his resume speaks for itself and that he's helped championships regain their form. He said that he first saw something in Swerve, and now he wants to talk business.

Swerve said he did learn from MVP, bringing up their past match at DEFY. Swerve said that MVP paved the way for people like Swerve and other Black wrestlers to do what they do. Swerve said that he's been watching the show, and MVP made some good points, noting that he lost the AEW World Title and his childhood home. He also said that he wouldn't have had those things without Nana.

Swerve said that there are some things about Nana that irk him, including Nana still selling weed to high school kids. Swerve said that Nana is family, and he doesn't turn his back on family. Swerve said MVP could shove the business cards up his ass.

Shelton got in Swerve's face, saying that he misread the situation and that he was either with them or against them. Swerve and Shelton shoved each other before officials broke up the situation.

MVP made his debut at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, confronting Prince Nana, who he believed fumbled Swerve. He gave Nana his business card so Nana could give it to Swerve.
