Roderick Strong gets his match.
Swerve Strickland will defend the AEW World Title against Roderick Strong on the June 5th episode of AEW Dynamite.
The bout came together on the June 1st episode of AEW Collision with Strong saying he was supposed to be the last man in the Casino Gauntlet on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite. Strong suggested to Tony Khan that he should face Swerve for the championship on Dynamite. Tony Khan agreed that it was a good idea, giving him the title match.

Will Ospreay won the Casino Gauntlet on Dynamite and will challenge for the AEW World Title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Ospreay defeated Strong to win the AEW Internation Title at AEW Double or Nothing.
