Swerve Strickland compliments Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF, and Swerve Strickland have yet to face off one-on-one in AEW. However, there is mutual respect between the two champions. Speaking about Maxwell in a new interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Strickland would say that Maxwell has nothing left to prove; that's how good he is.
However, Strickland doesn't think Max'll ever let himself coast, despite how much his character appears to enjoy taking the easy way out.
“Max wanted to be around great competition. Even when he was young, he always put himself around top talent, and he wanted to test himself in hard conditions. That’s how he got so good at such a young age," he said. “I don’t think Max has anything left to prove. That’s how good he is. But he’ll never tell himself that or allow himself to believe that. He’ll always keep working.”
Maxwell looks to defeat Will Ospreay for a second time in Wembley Stadium at AEW All In. Meanwhile, Swerve Strickland looks to retire Brian Danielson by defeating him in a match for the AEW World Championship.
