On Friday's edition of SmackDown, Bayley and Naomi found themselves in the main event of the show with the WWE Women's Championship on the line. However, before there was a clear winner in the bout, Tiffany Stratton would attack the pair, causing a no contest.
On The SmackDown LowDown, Byron Saxton would ask Tiffany why she attacked Bayley and Naomi, noting that Naomi did not deserve the title match.
"I have my sights set on the WWE Women's Championship. Last week when Naomi beat me, it was a fluke. She didn't deserve to be in that match, and that's why I did what I did. I just had a Tiffany epiphany. Who better than the center of the universe to win the WWE Women's Championship? I just love the sound of that. Toodles."
Bayley captured the WWE Women's Championship from IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL, and her match with Naomi served as her first title defense.
