Vaughn Vertigo Talks The Return Of Alpha-1 Wrestling, Recalls Working With Brian Cage & The Rascalz

Vaughn Vertigo is excited for the return of Alpha-1.

In November, Ethan Page announced that he would be reviving his promotion, Alpha-1, in February 2024. This news excited many fans and wrestlers, as the promotion was once considered to be one of the best independent promotions in the world of wrestling.

Vaughn Vertigo and Gabriel Fuerza, also known as Fight Or Flight, were one of the top teams in the promotion when it was shut down. While speaking to Fightful Overbooked's Indied podcast for a new interview, Vertigo said that he's happy that the promotion is back and teased a potential return.

“Great. I mean, they were the best Hamilton promotion and we got to work with The Rascalz, we got to work with Brian Cage and Josh [Alexander] and Ethan Page. We worked with a lot of people there for like — We came into Alpha-1 in like mid 2019, right before the pandemic and we had this great run where we won the tag titles and all of this stuff and then everything went to shit. So, who’s to say that we don’t pop up there in February?”

When asked about potentially having a singles run in Alpha-1, Vertigo said that he has singles aspirations in every company.

“Yeah, I mean I have singles aspirations everywhere, just depends on what we’re going for. Could be tag, could be singles, I can’t say.”
