During WWE SummerSlam, 2k Games premiered the new trailer for WWE 2K22. The big news coming out of the trailer was that the game won't release until March 2022. An official release date was not given. The trailer featured footage from an in-progress build.
A full announcement of features, modes, cover Superstar and more will arrive in January 2022 for 2k22.

After WWE 2K21 was canceled due to the poor reception to the bug-littered release of WWE 2K20 in 2019, 2K Games decided to spend a year working on the next simulation release in the WWE video game franchise to ensure the best quality possible for consumers.
