WWE is seemingly advertising a new match type for the Royal Rumble premium live event.
On the company's official YouTube channel, WWE is running advertisements for a "Pitch Black Match" at the Royal Rumble event, which will be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on January 28. The brief clip plays the message, "When it's the Pitch Black Match, anything can happen."
The match is clearly a promotion for the return of Mountain Dew Pitch Black; the logo appears twice in the brief advertisement. The Pitch Black flavor debuted in 2004 and has returned a few times over the years.

As of this writing, specific details regarding the match are unclear. WWE has not officially announced anything about the Pitch Black Match.
Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
