A featherweight clash between Billy Quarantillo faces Kyle Nelson joins the lineup of UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Teixeira.

Quarantillo (14-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Jacob Kilburn and Spike Carlyle. Quarantillo also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 5, defeating Kamuela Kirk by third-round TKO. Quarantillo was part of The Ultimate Fighter 22, making it to the second round of the reality show before losing to Saul Rogers.
Nelson (13-3-0) has won just one of three in the UFC. That lone victory came in his last outing against Marco Polo Reyes at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Nelson has previously challenged for the Triple X Cagefighting lightweight title. Nelson has not competed in nearly a year. He was expected to fight Sean Woodson in June but visa issues put a halt to those plans.
UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Teixeira is set for Saturday, September 12. A firefight between top-ranked light-heavyweight contenders Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira serves as headliner. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event. Broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
