A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Busan as Kyung Ho Kang is in action against Pingyuan Liu.
Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Kang (16-8-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Teruto Ishihara and Brandon Davis. Kang hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year, with that last loss coming to Ricardo Ramos at UFC 227 in August of 2018. Kang has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them have come by way of submission.
Liu (13-6-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Damian Stasiak and Martin Day. Liu hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with the last win over the aforementioned Day coming at UFC Fight Night Beijing in November of 2018. Liu had a bad start to his professional MMA career, as the fighter lost four straight before picking up that coveted first win.
UFC Fight Night Busan takes place on Saturday, December 21 from the Sakij Arena in Busan, South Korea with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
