Barry Horowitz wishes he could have faced Kurt Angle.
Throughout the history of his lengthy pro wrestling career, Barry Horowitz has got to square off the likes of Owen Hart, Chris Candido, Eddie Guerrero, and Booker T.
In October 1997, Horowitz returned to WCW after spending the majority of his time in WWE for the previous seven years. 'Mr. Technical' would never to WWE after this, even after his time with WCW came to a end in 2000.
In a new interview with Under The Ring, Horowitz revealed that he wishes he would have got the chance to square off with the legendary Kurt Angle at some point in his career.
“Hands down, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle. In my prime, if I was calling the match, I would want a 30 minute match with Kurt Angle and I would have him go over on me or you could do a 30 minute broadway and then have a rematch, and then of course Kurt goes over with his Angle Slam. I think we would bounce off each other, literally, for moves and holds. You got an Olympic gold medalist wrestling a guy who wrestled in high school and one year at FSU. There’s no comparison, but still, the fans don’t care about that, we’re doing pro wrestling right now. But yeah, that would be so cool.”
Angle retired from in-ring competition after WrestleMania 35, where he lost a singles bout to Baron Corbin.
Meanwhile, Horowitz competed once in January 2023, and also competed in two separate matches back in 2022.
Kurt Angle recently provided an update on the status of Randy Orton, who's been out of action for over a year. Fans can learn more here.
