Britt Baker says the games are over.
Former AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker had been absent for several months, but she returned at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. There, she confronted TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, who has become one of the faces of the women's division since she arrived in AEW. Since her return, Baker took issue with this stance, and she has been feuding with Mone, who initially rejected her challenge to a match at AEW All In.
Speaking with Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Britt Baker was asked about Mercedes Mone being a thorn in her side. She turned it around by saying that she was a thorn in Mone's side.
"I would flip that on you. I would say I’m more of a thorn in her side because now I’m back, and the games are over. You can’t just look in the mirror and pretend. Now you have to live up to it, and you’re not the face of the division, I am. So who’s the thorn in whose side? It’s me because I’m the friendly reminder that you’re full of shit," Baker said.
