Carmella Plans On Returning To WWE After Giving Birth, But Isn't Going To Rush

Carmella opens up about her post-pregnancy plans to return to the squared circle.

Former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella is currently away from the ring as she is pregnant with a baby boy. Mella is very excited about this addition to her family with WWE SmackDown color commentator Corey Graves. She also plans to return to being the F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S WWE Superstar she was before pregnancy.

Recently, she spoke with PEOPLE, revealing that she plans on returning to the ring after her pregnancy, as she believes it's essential to show that women can have a baby and still have a physical career. Still, she will be in no rush to return to action.

“I for sure plan to come back. I think it’s important to show you can have a baby and still have a career, especially a very physical one at that, but I’m not going to rush," she said. "I really just want to take my time recovering and making sure that I feel great and ready to go back and not sort of rushing because I don't even know what to expect as far as how I'm going to feel after having a baby."

With both Corey Graves and Carmella being professional wrestlers and Carmella's dad having experience inside the squared circle, Mella teased that perhaps her baby could become a third-generation star one day.

"Maybe he'll be a third-generation, which would be so cool," she says. "I would never push anything on him, whatever it is that he wants to do. If he's anything like what he's like right now in the womb, I mean, he's insane. He is a maniac. He does not stop moving. So if that's any indication of how rambunctious he's going to be once he's Earthside, then we're in it, for sure."

As Corey Graves prepares to become a father again, he is shifting from working Monday nights to working Friday nights as he and Kevin Patrick will now be calling WWE Friday Night SmackDown alongside Michael Cole.
