Following WrestleMania 35, Nia Jax was sidelined due to double ACL surgery. Jax was teaming with Tamina at the time and fresh off challenging for the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.
Jax sat on the sidelines for over a year before she finally returned on April 6 WWE Raw.
Speaking on Twitch in a chat with Paige, Renee Young, Alexa Bliss, and more, Jax revealed she was technically cleared to return in November for her injury.
"Take it from somebody who has had a year off. After a certain amount of time, you get really bored with the time off and you want to go back to work," Jax said when discussing not being able to work as often due to the coronavirus pandemic. "I was technically cleared in November and I've been sitting around on my ass waiting to come back."
Jax has made an immediate impact upon her return, running through the competition and qualifying for the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match.
Fightful will have live coverage of WWE Money in the Bank beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday.
