Sabu elaborates on his comments about his last match.
Sabu appeared at The People vs. GCW and confronted Joey Janela, who agreed to face the ECW legend in his last match at Joey Janela's Spring Break 9. Sabu recently said if he defeated Janela, this would not be his last match.
Speaking with Monopoly Events' Jamal Niaz at For The Love of Wrestling 2025, Sabu was asked about his upcoming retirement match against Joey Janela.
“It’s not guaranteed…it’s not a retirement match. It’s my last match, except for…it’s one of my last matches. If I lose, it’s my last match. If I win, I’m gonna continue. I’ll probably keep wrestling until I lose. Hopefully, I don’t lose this next one. But it’s not a retirement match. I’m already retired. But I’m gonna have one more match. I don’t want to end my career on my last match that I had a few years ago, which was very bad," Sabu said.
Janela discussed his match with Sabu in a recent interview. Check out his comments here.
Janela recently underwent successful surgery. More information is available here.
