Friday's IMPACT was headlined by LAX (Santana & Ortiz) bidding farewell to the promotion following a match with Rich Swann & Willie Mack. LAX put their careers on the line on the Sept. 6 episode of IMPACT, losing to The North (Josh Alexander & Ethan Page) in an IMPACT Tag Team Title match.

The IMPACT contracts of Santana & Ortiz expired in August, making them free agents. The duo appeared at AEW All Out, attacking the Lucha Bros and The Young Bucks following their tag team ladder match.
