Taya Valkyrie sticks up for Deonna Purrazzo and gets a match on AEW Rampage for her troubles.
Lexy Nair was interviewing Willow Nightingale on the September 21 AEW Collision. During the interview, she praised Yuka Sazaki for challenging Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Title at AEW Grand Slam.
Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie interrupted the interview. Purrazzo said that if Willow Nightingale were really a friend to Yuka Sakazaki, she would offer to be in her corner for the championship match. Purrazzo then extended the offer on her own behalf, and when Nightingale interrupted to try to stand up for herself, Taya Valkyrie got in her face.
As a result, Nightingale issued a challenge, and now Valkyrie will face Nightingale on the September 27 AEW Rampage.
