Yuya Uemura To Defend KOPW Title Against Great-O-Khan In Storm Catch Rules Match At NJPW Dominion

The stipulation is set for the rematch between Yuya Uemura and Great-O-Khan.

At NJPW Dominion, Yuya Uemura will defend the King of Pro Wrestling Championship against Great-O-Khan. Uemura and Great-O-Khan previously presented their picks for the stipulation. In an update, NJPW has announced that the bout will be contested under Storm Catch Rules, meaning there will be a 15-minute time limit, strikes are prohibited, and each competitor has two rope breaks, after a rope break or exiting the ring will be ruled a disqualification.

After voting ran through the weekend to determine the rules for Yuya Uemura and Great-O-Khan’s KOPW 2024 title match Sunday at Dominion, 9211 votes have been cast, and the rules have been set.

Yuya Uemura: Storm Catch Rules: 5372 votes (58.3%)

Great-O-Khan : 61 minute time limit, 2/3 falls catch rules: 3839 votes (41.7%)

The match will be contested under Storm Catch Rules. A 15 minute time limit is in place, and each competitor has two rope breaks, after which breaking at the ropes or leaving the ring will constitute a disqualification.
