Hulk Hogan might finally, actually be returning to the WWE fold soon.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been internal talks about bringing back The Hulkster for the first time since he was released from the company over racist statements he made in the sextape that was made and released without his consent. The WWE understands that those comments and the controversy over them remain fresh in fans' minds and there's no way to "sugar-coat" them.
The WWE is trying to gauge the response that a hypothetical return would elicit in the fanbase. The company doesn't want a backlash.
Hogan's voice has been heard in audio clips on WWE Network advertisements, and a Hogan poster was recently featured in the WWE Kids magazine, an international publication that is not released in the states.
The WON says he might be brought back in a pseudo-Ambassador role, perhaps even in the near future, but not until the company believes the comments have been forgotten about.
