James Vick has spent the last seven-plus years competing in the UFC, but it looks like the fighter’s time with the promotion has come to an end.
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN first reported the news.
Vick has earned a record of 9-5-0 in the UFC (13-5-0) overall with notable wins in the promotion coming over Ramsey Nijem, Nick Hein, Jake Matthews, Abel Trujillo, Joe Duffy and Francisco Trinaldo. Vick does leave the promotion while riding a four-fight losing streak, with those losses coming to Justin Gaethje, Paul Felder, Dan Hooker and Niko Price. Vick has not earned a victory in almost three years with the aforementioned Trinaldo win coming at UFC Fight Night Austin in February of 2018. Vick also competed on the Ultimate Fighter 15, making it to the semi-finals of the reality show before losing to Michael Chiesa.
There is no word yet on where Vick will fight next, but he is free to sign with whatever promotion makes an offer.
