Chris Jericho: Darby Allin Reminds Me A Lot Of Jeff Hardy

Of all the unknowns heading into AEW's television premiere in October, perhaps no one has benefitted more from being on TNT than Darby Allin.

Since AEW Dynamite premiered on Oct. 2, Allin has challenged Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship and stepped in the ring with Jon Moxley. He also delivered a highlight reel attack, riding down the ramp on his skateboard to jump Jericho. And Le Champion sees even more big things in the future for Allin.

Wade Barrett: Transition To Commentary Has Given Me A Different Appreciation For WWE Creative Team

"Look at the projects we've had in eight weeks. Darby Allin, you see him come out and people are dressing like him now. Kids and women are putting the face paint on. At first, you're like, 'who is this guy?' Then I had him come down and attack me off the skateboard. Then we had the match where he had his hands tied behind his back and all that stuff. He did the crazy promo where he's in a bodybag, getting crowd surfed at a punk rock show. Then he has an amazing match with Moxley. He's made. He went from nothing to a legit made star in less than two months. He wants it. He reminds me a lot of Jeff Hardy. He's got an x-factor to him. Get into a room or a ring with that guy, he's got a presence," Jericho said on Keepin It 100 podcast.

Even before AEW Dynamite, Allin was portrayed as a top talent, going to a 20-minute time limit draw with Cody at AEW Fyter Fest. Allin and Cody will team up to face The Butcher & The Blade on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Fightful will provide live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
