Janel Grant's attorneys claim that Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness withheld medical records.
In July 2024, Janel Grant's attorneys filed a pre-action discovery petition against Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness, Inc. as part of her lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. Grant claimed that, under the direction of Vince McMahon, she was sent to the clinic in November 2019. Grant claimed that she received treatments that were not disclosed to her, including I.V. infusions and pills. Colker denied any improper treatment, and he argued that the accusations caused damages to his name and reputation.
Attorneys for Janel Grant made a new filing on February 7th with the Connecticut Superior Court, and they claimed that counsel for Dr. Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness admitted that Vince McMahon paid for Colker to be Grant's doctor. Additionally, they claimed that the counsel admitted that Peak Wellness withheld medical records (via Brandon Thurston of BJ Bethel of SEScoops).
These claims were part of Grant's complaint, which was recently amended. Grant's new filing on February 7th came after Colker's attorneys made a supplemental filing on February 5th, in which they requested the Connecticut Superior Court to dismiss Grant's bill of discovery. They claimed that it did not follow Connecticut state statute, as Grant intended to use the information from the discovery in order to name Colker and Peak Wellness in her civil suit. They also claimed that this bill of discovery should be denied because some of the information that Grant's counsel obtained was part of confidential settlement agreements.
Grant's attorneys then argued that these settlement communications were null and void once counsel for Colker and Peak Wellness disclosed them on February 5th. They also countered the argument about discovery and state law and claimed that no state statute prevented discovery in state court from being used in a federal case.

Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a lawsuit in January against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. The lawsuit accuses McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking. On May 30, Grant agreed to pause the lawsuit for six months while the federal investigation continued against McMahon, who resigned from TKO/WWE following the lawsuit being filed.
