Orange Cassidy will defend the gold on the November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In the main event of the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada clashed with Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli of Blackpool Combat Club. The two teams battled it out, and Okada nearly had the match won when he geared up for the Rainmaker. Cassidy somewhat distracted him by hugging his tag team partner. Castagnoli and Danielson took advantage of the situation and gained the upper hand.
In the closing moments, Cassidy and Okada hit Danielson with a combination of a Rainmaker and an Orange Punch. Castagnoli then took out Okada and caught Cassidy with a pop-up European Uppercut and pinned him.
After the bell, doctors checked on Danielson, as he seemingly hurt his face. The broadcast team then confirmed that Castagnoli will challenge Cassidy for the AEW International Championship on the November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
