Now that he has achieved his goal and signed with the worldwide leader in sports entertainment, his town honored him with a feature on their website which opens up about his journey and the role that his father, who sadly passed away in 2009, played in his love of professional wrestling.

“It’s extra special because it’s something my father and I used to watch back in the day all the time,” Wentz said. “When he passed away, my love for sports entertainment grew to the point to where it’s at now, to where I chased this dream. I’ve finally made it here.”

He added, “I’m just a kid from Lima who dreamt of sports entertainment in the WWE. Now I’m here, living my best life. I’m living the dream, as corny as that sounds. But I’m here, I’ve made it, and I can’t wait to see whatever happens next.”

The article also discusses the meaning behind his tattoos, and taking the name Wentz from Pete Wentz because of his love of alternative music and growing up as an “emo kid.” Read the full piece here.

Triple H, in recent media interviews, has expressed his joy in signing both Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier because of how much their love for the business radiates. You can read his comments at this link.
